Ghana Course Compass

About Ghana Course Compass

Clearer choices about courses, admissions and careers, built on official sources.

Ghana Course Compass helps senior high school students, parents and school leavers in Ghana make clearer choices about courses, admissions and careers.

Every guide here starts from official sources: university admission pages, WAEC, and the bodies that run each programme. We link to those sources so you can check them yourself, and we say when a rule changes from year to year.

What you will find here

  • Plain explanations of WASSCE entry requirements for Ghanaian universities and colleges
  • Step-by-step guides to portals, result checkers and applications
  • Course and career pathways: what a programme asks for and where it can lead

Who runs this site

Ghana Course Compass is written by David Martey Mensah, a teacher and designer based in Prampram, Ghana. He teaches digital creativity and ICT to young people and is going through university and scholarship applications himself.

How we check our guides

  1. We start from the official page or document: the university's admissions site, WAEC, or the body that runs the programme.
  2. We link to each source in the guide and list them at the end, so you can confirm every fact.
  3. Each guide shows the date it was published and the date it was last checked.
  4. When a reader tells us a rule has changed, we check the official source and correct the guide.

An important note

We are not part of any university, WAEC or the Ghana Education Service. Admission rules, cut-off points and deadlines can change every year. Always confirm the final details on the official website of the school or body before you pay for anything or submit an application.
